How to use the registration checklist

The checklist covers 15 preparation points across scope and responsibility; people, premises and documents; and final validation. For each point, record what evidence exists and what remains unresolved. You can make the same record on paper without running the interactive tool.

The displayed percentage is the number of checks you mark addressed divided by 15, rounded to the nearest whole number. It measures completion of this checklist. It does not assess registration eligibility, the quality of the evidence or the likelihood of CQC approval.

Review each answer against current guidance for the actual service and any exceptions. The applicant remains responsible for completing and checking the application. Keep patient and service-user information out of a preparation summary.

The interactive tool holds answers in the page while you use it and creates a download only when requested. It does not send an application to CQC or upload your evidence.
